Our Commitment
The organisers of Congress on ionic liquids-10 (COIL10), is committed to providing a safe and respectful conference for all participants. We embrace diversity and welcome our participants from all gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, socio-economic background, or religion.
Anti-Harassment Policy
Under no circumstances will the following behaviours be accepted:
Harassment
Any form of harassment including verbal comments relating to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, age, national origin, gender identity or expression, or physical appearance is not tolerated at this event. This policy extends to electronic and social media platforms.
Inappropriate Physical Contact
Unwelcome sexual attention
Stalking or deliberate intimidation
Displaying discriminatory or sexual images in public spaces
Consequences of Code of Conduct Violations
Participants found violating these principles may face sanctions, up to and including expulsion from the conference without refund, at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Responsibilities and Reporting
All attendees are subject to this anti-harassment policy. Participants asked to cease harassing behaviour must comply immediately and are expected to adhere to any sanctions imposed by event organizers or designated officials.
Reporting Harassment
If you experience harassment, observe someone else being harassed, or have any concerns, please contact any member of the COIL10 organizing committee chaired by Professor Rob Atkin and Professor Debbie Silvester-Dean, or a member of the COIL10 Committee listed below. Immediate support, including assistance in contacting law enforcement or arranging escorts, will be provided as necessary to ensure your safety during the conference.
