Welcome

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Perth, Western Australia for the 10th edition of COIL, the main event in the broad field of ionic liquids.

We aim for COIL-10 to showcase the latest, exciting developments in ionic liquids and related fields. We expect to gather balanced and diverse contributions from both established and new actors working in fundamental science and applications involving ionic liquids.

Because ionic liquids are unique and offer immense possibilities, they gather an interdisciplinary community concerned with materials and processes at the core of a broad range of technologies.

We aim to gather researchers from all areas where ionic liquids enable discovery and innovation guiding scientists and engineers from theory to reality.

We are looking forward to hosting you in Australia!

Rob Atkin & Debbie Silvester-Dean
Conference Chairs

The scientific program encompasses ionic liquid fundamentals through to applications, including energy storage, sustainable processing, materials development, separations, catalysis, and biomedical technologies.

17 plenary and keynote speakers

from top academic institutes across Europe, North America, South America, East Asia, South Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

10 industry experts and startup founders

speak at the “Beyond the Lab” session, showcasing successful journeys in bridging science and industry.

8 themes

covering both fundamental research and applications, covering both fundamental research and applications, tackling challenges in energy, materials, environment, and health.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners
